Most websites contain primarily text and some still graphics. By multimedia, we are referring to web pages that also contain video, audio, slide shows and other media elements. (If you are more interested in interactive aspects of websites, see our software section.)

Media Format and Conversion

The formats of media on DVDs, VHS tapes, and Audio CDs is not very good for Internet viewing or listening. These media need to be converted to formats that are more web-friendly. We recommend that video be converted to mpeg4 and music be converted to mp3. There are several compressed formats that work well for voice audio. Most digital cameras will create these recommended formats. We can convert some types of other media.

Creating Multimedia

We have created a variety of short videos. We can extract stills from videos or scan photos to create slide shows. We have created a variety of Flash multimedia, including video, audio, and interactive components. While we can create short multimedia and interactive media, edit various kinds of multimedia, and convert them into various formats, nHarmony does not have a complete professional audio-video studio.

Players

Most people's computers have software that can play gif movies, Flash, mp3, and other formats. We will work with you to determine which player technologies are best for you and your website visitors. In some cases, we will create a special player for your website or integrate one from another website such as YouTube or Adobe Connect.
